Eight of the fourteen houses are held by their owners, so the dates come by conversation rather than a calendar. Tell us the week and we'll come back within a day — with the house, the table on the second evening, and a car if the drive is worth doing.

What we actually do

01 Hold the house. Eight are owner-held, so this is a phone call, not a form.

02 Book the two meals that need booking, and tell you which nights to eat at home.

03 Put a car and a driver on the road book if you want to drive it properly.

04 Say no. If the week doesn't suit the house, we'll tell you and suggest another.

The honest bit

We take nothing from you for this and nothing extra from the houses. It exists because the collection is small enough that we can still answer every message ourselves.
